Building Aboriginal Women’s Leadership

The Building Aboriginal Women’s Leadership program is designed to encourage more Aboriginal women to participate in leadership roles in their communities.

If you are an Aboriginal woman and you would like to develop your leadership skills, then this is the program for you.

Since the program was established in 2007, over 4,500 Aboriginal women from 30 communities participated in training and information sessions. Close to 200 of the program participants have gone on to provide leadership in their communities. Some have become board members, others elected to positions on band councils.
